This unit covers competence associated with the operation and maintenance of breathing apparatus equipment in an irrespirable atmosphere. This is part of our Advanced Confined Space course.
Course Objectives
This competency applies to operators who are required to wear breathing apparatus for part of their job - because they are working in confined spaces, with hazardous gases or vapours, in an oxygen deficient atmosphere or for other applications requiring the wearing of the breathing apparatus.
Assessment
Participants will be assessed via questionnaire and practical demonstration of skills. Participants with literacy/numeracy difficulties or physical conditions should speak with the Trainer to discuss alternative assessment approaches. Applicants will be required to undertake physical activity to meet all the assessment criteria to a satisfactory level.
Qualification
On successful completion, each participant will be issued with a Statement of Attainment.
Frequency of Training
Public sessions are held monthly at 37 Crescent Road Waratah NSW 2298. Private sessions are available for groups of minimum 4 and maximum 12
