Installed Height Safety Systems 6 Monthly Inspection 12 Monthly Inspection
Subsequent to Table 9.1 AS1891.4 (located on Page 66 of Part 4: Selection, Use & Maintenance), all drilled in type or anchorages attached to sub frames shall be inspected on a 12 monthly basis by a height safety inspector for signs of deterioration which might lead to loss of anchorage strength. Further to this, all steel rope or rail horizontal and vertical lifelines are to be inspected at a period not exceeding 5 years, which is to be specified by the original manufacturer. In the absence of such a recommendation, the user should defer back to the 12 monthly period.
As a supplier, installer and certifier of Roof Safety Systems, Combined Safety Services provide this service as an ongoing part of our original installation package. As a CSS client, you will receive a reminder on an annual basis advising that your inspection is due, meaning that you have an easy and effective method of ensuring your organisation complies with the current standards and regulations. New inspection projects are also accepted. Please contact our office for a formal quotation.
Personal Equipment
All personal equipment, such as harnesses, lanyards, connectors, fall arrest devices, ropes and slings, must be inspected by the user prior to each and every use. Furthermore, these items should also be inspected by a height safety equipment inspector on a 6 monthly basis, as specified in Table 9.1 of AS/NZ1891.4. Our professionalism and commitment to safety mean that here at Combined Safety Services we follow all inspection processes stringently.
