Combined Safety Services

The unit of competency 'Enter and Work in Confined Spaces' (RIIWHS202E) is a critical component for various industries, ensuring that individuals are trained to safely enter and perform tasks in confined spaces. This unit covers the necessary skills and knowledge required for safe entry under a work permit and maintaining safety while working within confined spaces, as defined by the Australian Standard AS 2865-2009 Confined Spaces. It includes planning and preparation for entry, risk assessment, working in accordance with an issued permit, and the use of safety equipment and monitoring procedures. Additionally, it addresses the proper methods for exiting confined spaces and post-entry procedures, including cleaning up the site and equipment. This competency is essential for workers in industries such as construction, mining, agriculture, and utilities, where confined spaces are common.

CSS Training offers a 1/2 day REFRESHER course that is designed for individuals who routinely enter confined spaces as part of their work role and have completed the initial course within the previous 2 years.
