As the pre-requisite for Issue Work Permits (MSMPER300), The MSMWHS201 unit of competency covers the skills and knowledge required to conduct a hazard analysis. This analysis is typically referred to as:
- Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
- Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
- Job Safety and Environmental Analysis (JSEA)
- Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS)
It involves identifying hazards and appropriate hazard controls. The purpose of conducting a hazard analysis may be driven by safety cases, organizational procedures, or simply as a good practice. Individuals working alone or as part of a team, in liaison with other shift team members and control room operators, can apply this competency.
Participants will be assessed via a written assessment. Participants with literacy or numeracy skills should speak with our Trainer to discuss alternative assessment approaches.
Qualification
Upon successful completion, each student will be issued with a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment.
Frequency of Training
Public sessions will be held monthly at 37 Crescent Road Waratah NSW 2298. Private sessions are available for groups of 4 or more.
